Gender Parity on Candidate Lists and Digital Political Violence in Mexico

The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Mexico, PIT Policy Lab, Facebook, the Civic Innovation Lab UNAM, Colectivo 50+1 and Emant Consultores worked hand in hand on the report. Within the framework of the 2021 election cycle, the project conducted a large-scale data analysis of the publications of the official Facebook pages of the gubernatorial candidates, to analyze the online behavior of users, detect patterns of gender-based political violence and generate public policy recommendations to social media platforms, candidates, political parties and electoral authorities, in order to advance women's political participation in Mexico.
